MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
I am a part-time freelance photographer based in Chicago, Illinois. I recently moved from Lincoln, Nebraska to the big city! When I’m not busy photographing people, I am working full-time at Hudl as an Associate Product Marketing Manager. My mom was a flight attendant growing up, so travel has always been a massive part of my life. I love to explore new places and meet new people, which is one of the reasons I love being a photographer. I am originally from Apple Valley, Minnesota but life after high school took me to Nebraska. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. I lived in Nebraska for 6 years and even though I’m not originally from there, it feels like my second home.
Ever since I can remember, I have loved being behind and in front of the camera. Once I got to college, I realized I was interested in photography. While in college I was a member of the Husker Scarlets Dance Team at Nebraska. I was the Social Media Director during my last two years on the team and I was responsible for running all of our social accounts. I started bringing my camera to basketball games, practices, and team hangouts to get content for our social channels.
I enjoyed capturing candid moments of my teammates, and shortly after I started photographing the dance team, one of my teammates asked me to take professional headshots of her. Suddenly I had tons of inquiries for photoshoots and I was both excited and nervous about what was to come. I had no idea how to run a business, maintain clients, or what equipment I needed to purchase next. I slowly started to figure out all the pieces to the puzzle, and then my photography business was established.
I have fallen in love with the world of photography. I have 4 years of freelance photography experience under my belt and counting. I get to meet the coolest people through this job. I love to push people outside their comfort zones and I encourage clients to be a part of the creative process with me during a session. I want to inspire you to be unapologetically yourself and make sure you feel comfortable in your skin. My job is to capture all of your beauty, both inside and out, through my lens.
